Harper Adams University College, Silage Store

Specialists in farming, agricultural and managerial studies, the University requires the very latest buildings and facilities. The steel portal frame building with self supporting pre-cast concrete retaining walls is used to hold all the silage produced on the College estate. It is a 30 metre span building and because it's located in a flood plain area, the design involves an extensive site strip and build up of clean stone with extensive concrete aprons to allow full access all year round to the building.
