CE Marking to BS EN 1090-1 became a legal requirement on all manufactured structural steel products on 1st July 2014.
K&M Engineering Ltd are fully compliant to BS EN 1090-1, CE Exc Class 2, with all structural steel products manufactured to this standard and carrying the CE Mark.
With the introduction of CE Marking, it places obligations not only on ourselves as the manufacturer of structural steel, but also on the client and / or the principal contractor to make sure that steel products specified for a project comply with the correct execution class and carry the CE Mark.
We have been working hard over a long period of time to attain this standard, and are pleased to annouce K&M Engineering to have achieved our target within a the specififed period. This is an important step in allowing our existing and potential new customers, secure knowledge to plan their future projects with the confidence, knowing that K&M Engineering Ltd are fully compliant.
K&M have passed our CE Marking Class 2 surveillance with 100% success. Another example of how important K&M see the traceability system is to providing all its clients with a quality product that continually meets the legal requirement.
